A city hotel with enhanced luxury and world class meeting facilities.shapeimage_54

A major addition to the hotel industry in Dubai is the Marriott hotel group’s luxury brand the Marquis which had officially been recognised as the world’s tallest standalone hotel at a height of 355 meters from floor to top of mast (the empire states building is just 26 meters taller!). The “Marquis” designation is reserved for select downtown properties that offer the highest level of comfort.

With enhanced luxury and world class meeting facilities, the hotels facilities include the most modern and unrivalled conference amenities making this hotel the most up to date convention and business centre anywhere in the world, offering over 8,000 square meters of event space which includes 24 meeting rooms, two ballrooms and outdoor space managed by some of the best hospitality and management staff available. This is billed as “Dubai’s first world-class convention and business destination hotel, filling a long identified gap in the market where groups, meetings and conventions of up to 1,000 people can meet, sleep and dine under one roof, in one location.

The hotel is opening in a number of phases such is the scale of the building, already open is the first tower of 800+ rooms and suites in its soft opening phase. When the two tower hotel is fully open in “late” 2014, there will be a total of 14 restaurants and bars.

The guest rooms are varied enough to provide a wide variation in what the guests require. From the standard 54 square meter room through to the two penthouse suites, the standard of equipment offered in the rooms is simply mind blowing. The windows are full height floor to ceiling; the bathrooms are of a luxury fitting being covered in marble providing a toilet, sink, bidet and separate oversized bath and shower. Each and every room provides a 46-inch LCD HD TV, which offers easily connectability to all of your media products such as your laptop, MP3 player/phone and even your camera. There is also an in room DVD player, iPod dock facility, satellite TV channels and radio.

If you pay that bit extra and book an executive room not only will your room size increase to 88 square meters but you will gain access to the 37th floor executive room which provides complimentary access 24hrs a day 7 days a week. With complimentary food served such as midday snack, afternoon tea, hors d’oeuvres, dessert and late night snacks. We have always been advocates of this service as it provides a tasty in-between meal snacks rather than going out, eating and over filling your stomach which ruins the meals provided in the hotels exclusive restaurants.

The hotel’s nine restaurants and five bars & lounges are open, with a number of different tastes being catered for: The poolside bar and grill offering lunch and dinner as well as stunning tropical cocktails and drinks.

The Saray Spa and Health Club is a welcome addition to the Marquis providing an amazing array of treatments that are listed, such as body wrap, body scrub through to massaging and waxing. There are over 17 different basic treatments available, as well as being open to any treatment suggestion that is not on the menu at Saray Spa.
