Dubai Marina & The Walk
Dubai Marina almost buzzes with spectacular twisting skyscrapers, and we do mean literally twisting whilst almost a stones throw next door is Jumeirah Beach Residence, The Walk (JBR). The Marina and JBR is almost a city within a city with amazing architecture, vast waterways and jetties, shopping malls and boutique stores plus a whole host of dining options including chain and independent restaurants, bars and cafes, not to mention spectacular five-star hotels.
JBR is also host to galleries and many pop-up art and design installations, market and cart stalls plus a vibrant street. In fact, this is one of the very few places in Dubai that has outdoor pedestrianized areas.
These areas are huge and much larger than one would initially expect, walking around the marina area itself can take several hours in its own right. We can pretty much guarantee that you will not make just the one visit here, as you’re bound to find a myriad of new places and attractions to bring you back for a second and third visit, if not more.
Than Marina is equally spectacular by night as it is by day, with many of the buildings illuminated by dazzling display, which turns this area into a vivid metropolis of colour.
Then there is the Dubai ferry, which is ideal for visitors and locals alike as it takes you out into the sea and past the famous Atlantis Hotel on the incredible man-made Palm Jumeirah and the world famous Burj Al Arab hotel and drops you just inside the Creek at Bur Dubai.
